Order & Subscriptions

No, you can make a one-time purchase.

A subscription order will automatically renew at a period of time set during the 'Choose your box' process. Subscription orders enjoy a 10% discount

No, you can check out a one-time purchase without setting up an account with us. 

Subscription purchases do require you to set up an account.

No, you can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account and selecting the cancel option.

7 days before your next delivery is due, we will send you a reminder email to make any changes to your subscription and / or delivery address prior to your next delivery being confirmed.  You will have 48 hours from receipt of this subscription renewal email before the confirmation period begins.

Please note that 5 days before your next delivery is due, that order will enter a confirmation period and cannot be canceled.  You will receive an email 48 hours prior to this confirmation period to remind you to make any updates required before your next delivery.

No, your delivery will be left in a safe place.  We recommend making sure someone is home within a few hours of your delivery to ensure the products are stored in the fridge and freezer before becoming spoiled.

We currently deliver to Melbourne metro areas and parts of regional Victoria.

Your order will be delivered on the date chosen during checkout.  You will receive a tracking notification from our delivery partners to monitor your delivery on that day.  Please note that deliveries are made between 6am and 6pm and we are unable to provide a narrower time window for your delivery.

When you choose your meal plan we use your dog's weight and life stage to estimate how much  of our food to feed your dog or puppy.  We will also provide an estimate of how long the box of food will last, this is referred to as your Days of use or renewal period. 

The renewal period indicates the number of days that we estimate an order will last.  If you choose to subscribe with us, the renewal period will indicate the number of days between each box we send you.

You can log into your account and update your subscription renewal period at any time.  

5 days before your next delivery is due, that order will become confirmed and enter the confirmation period.  At that time, payment will be debited using the payment method chosen when you subscribed.

Feeding guide

Our Choose your plan page provides a starter feeding guide based on your dog’s life stage and ideal weight.  Feeding guides are only a guide and we recommend monitoring your dog’s body condition to ascertain if they are getting the right amount of food and then adjusting what you feed accordingly.  Read our article on how to monitor your dog’s body condition.

Bowlsome Meatball products

Bowlsome meatballs are gently cooked and ready for you to serve to your dog as soon as they are thawed.

Most dogs are happy to gobble them up cold, however, if you would like to warm them up you can.  For meatballs that are already thawed, 10-15 seconds in the microwave should be enough.  Ensure meatballs are not scalding hot before serving.

We recommend storing most of your meatballs in the freezer until 2 days before you need them.  A packet will take 1 to 2 days to completely thaw in your fridge.

You can keep an unopened packet of Bowlsome meatballs in your fridge for up to 2 weeks.  Once opened, please use it within 3-4 days.  If you need to keep an opened packet for longer than 4 days, please divide your pack into useable portions and refreeze

You can keep Bowlsome in your freezer for a long time, however, for best quality we recommend using it within 6 months.

If your Bowlsome meatballs have been partially or fully defrosted within the last 24 hours and have not been warmed to over 4 degrees Celsius, you can re-freeze them.

At this stage we only make cooked meatballs.  This will change over time so sign up to our email list to be the first to know when new products are launched!

Packaging

Most of Bowlsome packaging components are recyclable. Please read how to dispose of Bowlsome packaging below for more information

Cardboard Carton

You can recycle the Bowlsome Cardboard Carton in your curbside recycle bin.

 

Thermal Liners

The thermal liners supplied inside the cardboard carton can be recycled via the red cycle network.  Please take these to your red cycle bin at your local Coles or Woolworths store

 

Plastic Trays

The plastic tray portion of the Bowlsome meatball products can be recycled in your curbside recycle bin.

 

Plastic Film Lid (on trays)

Unfortunately this lid film is not recyclable and must be disposed of in your rubbish bin
